Florianopolis boasts world-class entertainment, beaches and restaurants. The sun-soaked stretches of coastline in “Floripa,” as locals affectionately call it, make up 42 beaches in total. Athletes lining up for the event will find themselves in a sanctuary for sports, natural life and tourism from around the globe.
Going to its 24th edition, in an exuberant scenario, Florianópolis has become one of the most desired destinations for amateur and professional triathletes.
In one of the best races in recent years, Brazilian Pâmella Oliveira made history at the 23rd IRONMAN Brazil, held in Jurerê Internacional. The athlete from Espírito Santo won her fourth consecutive championship in the competition, consolidating her status as the biggest winner of the stage. In the men’s race, Argentine Luciano Taccone did no less. In addition to his second championship, he also set a new record for the race and one of the five best times since IRONMAN was created.
