One of Brazil’s most popular tourist destinations, has become a fantastic worldwide stop for all triathlon fans and competidors. Vibrant Brazilian culture, spectacular beaches and tropical weather beckon make this race a very special place test your limits.
A route with a lot of wind and high temperatures makes this race a hard challenge. But, the public created an incredible connection with the event, exceeding all the expectations. With all the people cheering around the streets, it`s impossible not been motivated.
Fortaleza has a long history on IRONMAN Circuit. The debut was in 2014, when the city hosted the full-distance race (3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling and 42.1 km of running) and had the participation of professional and amateur athletes. The longer course was kept in 2015 and 2016, however, with a focus on amateurs. In 2017, the race became part of the IRONMAN 70.3
