A route with a lot of wind and high temperatures makes this race a hard challenge. But, the public created an incredible connection with the event, exceeding all the expectations. With all the people cheering around the streets, it`s impossible not been motivated.
The national triathlon returned to the top of the podium at Itaú BBA IRONMAN 70.3 Fortaleza. This Sunday, the 25th, in Nova Beira-Mar, Santiago Ascenço from Goiás and Ana Augusta Barbosa from Pernambuco won the ninth edition of the event, surpassing their foreign victory last year. Santiago, who is coming off the Rio de Janeiro stage title, completed the 1.9 km swim, 90 km cycle and 21.1 km run in a time of 4:02:03, while Ana Augusta completed the challenge in a time of 4:32:10.
