For the first time in the country, the swim will take place in a river, at the Foz Vaza Barris. The bike course consists of three laps on a mostly flat route, finishing at the Orla do Atalaia. Finally, the run will be along the shore, allowing spectators to closely follow the participants.

Santiago Ascenço and Ariane Monticeli win the Itaú BBA IRONMAN 70.3 Aracaju-Sergipe

Santiago Ascenço and Ariane Monticeli, two prominent names in the history of national triathlon, were the big winners of the Itaú BBA IRONMAN 70.3 Aracaju-Sergipe. In the debut of the stage on the calendar, Santiago secured his fourth victory on the circuit by completing the 1.9 km swim, 90 km cycle and 21.1 km run of the season in a time of 3h57min53. Ariane Monticeli, who hadn’t competed in seven years, showed that she is still very competitive.
