GENERAL INFORMATION

All World Athlete (AWA) program is a way of rewarding age-group athletes’ dedication and performance across Ironman and Ironman 70.3 races. The AWA determinates which athletes have finished within the top 10 percent or better of their age group each calendar year.

Athletes accumulate points at every race they compete. Points are generated based on athlete finish time behind the first official finisher in their age group. AT the end of the year, only their top three performances will count toward their AWA status.

Ironman, Ironman 70.3 and Overall are the three categories of the program and there are three levels associated with the AWA:

Gold – top one percent
Silver – top five percent
Bronze – top ten percent

AWA athletes receive a variety of benefits from Ironman. Please find bellow the benefits offered in IRONMAN Florianopolis:

Priority access to Athlete Registration: AWA gold, silver, bronze
Priority access to Bike Check-in: AWA gold, silver, bronze
