– IRONMAN and Unlimited Sports have announced that the city of Curitiba, in the state of Paraná, will host the newest IRONMAN® 70.3® triathlon in Brazil. The IRONMAN 70.3 Curitiba – Paraná triathlon will debut on March 8, 2026, expanding the IRONMAN 70.3 series in the country alongside Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Aracaju, and Brasília. General registration will open on October 23, 2025, at www.ironman.com/races/im703-curitiba.

The IRONMAN 70.3 Curitiba triathlon will feature a 1.9km (1.2-mile) swim in the Passaúna Reservoir, followed by a single-loop 90.1km (56-mile) bike course set against an invigorating and motivating backdrop. The 21.1km (13.1-mile) run course will be staged in the heart of the city at Parque Barigui, where the IRONMAN Village and finish line will also be located, ensuring a spectacular experience for both athletes and spectators.
Curitiba, capital of the Brazilian state of Paraná, is recognized as one of the most innovative and well-planned cities in Brazil. Known for its green areas, cultural richness, and passion for sports, it has become a hub for endurance athletes across the country. The city combines tradition and modern infrastructure, making it an ideal host for an IRONMAN 70.3 event.
The IRONMAN 70.3 Curitiba-Paraná triathlon will offer qualifying slots to the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship triathlon taking place in Nice, France on September 12 and 13, 2026.
