Unlimited Sports is aware of the planet changes and contributes to protecting it, mainly through awareness, sustainable management of the resources, and the implementation of urgent measures to minimize the impacts caused to the environment. We believe in self-responsibility and the power of collective awareness, which leads people to reflect, learn, and refine attitudes to put them into practice in favor of a more significant and collective transformation.

We are planning actions and seeking objectives that have synergy with those stipulated by the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Goal 3. Ensure a healthy life and promote well-being for all, at all ages.

Goal 5. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

Goal 8. Promote sustainable, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

Goal 12. Ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns.

Goal 13. Take urgent measures to combat climate change and the impacts of it.

Goal 14. Conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.

Goal 16. Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.

  • Decrease the use of plastics and do a selective collection for reusing waste from hydration and food posts.
  • Selective collection at all points with waste disposal at events.
  • Increase the number of organic, vegetarian and vegan food options in the food court.
  • Encouraging the reuse of the athlete's kit items, with reusable materials.

IRONKIDS is an event designed to include children in sport and spread tolerance, respect, unity and values that revolve around sportsmanship. We believe that children are the agents of future transformations and trust the infinite potential that each experience has to teach the importance of sports practice, awareness and care for our planet.

According to an estimate of the World Economic Forum, by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans. Those are worrying numbers that indicate how actions by all of society are vital to change this dreadful scenario.

The first part of a triathlon starts at sea. It is in this habitat that we will join efforts to sensitize the public present in the IRONMAN circuit and minimize the impacts on the environment, in addition to reducing the amount of waste on the beach.

This idea is an initiative of Unlimited Sports, in collaboration with TREK Bikes and local entities and follows the pattern suggested by the campaign #MaresLimpos (#CleanSeas), an initiative of the UN Environment.
