Unlimited Sports is aware of the planet changes and contributes to protecting it, mainly through awareness, sustainable management of the resources, and the implementation of urgent measures to minimize the impacts caused to the environment. IRONKIDS is an event designed to include children in sport and spread tolerance, respect, unity and values that revolve around sportsmanship. We believe that children are the agents of future transformations and trust the infinite potential that each experience has to teach the importance of sports practice, awareness and care for our planet.
According to an estimate of the World Economic Forum, by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans. Those are worrying numbers that indicate how actions by all of society are vital to change this dreadful scenario.
The first part of a triathlon starts at sea. It is in this habitat that we will join efforts to sensitize the public present in the IRONMAN circuit and minimize the impacts on the environment, in addition to reducing the amount of waste on the beach.
This idea is an initiative of Unlimited Sports, in collaboration with TREK Bikes and local entities and follows the pattern suggested by the campaign #MaresLimpos (#CleanSeas), an initiative of the UN Environment.
